R. P. Public School, has carved a niche for itself in providing students holistic education. The school’s counselling department is committed to fostering the psycho-social wellbeing of its students, teachers and parents. The school’s counselling department comprises a team of trained and experienced Counselling Psychologists who specialise in working with children and adolescents.

RPPS provides counselling programs in three domains: academic, career and personal/social. The diverse needs of students require specific counseling expertise and the counseling department recognizes its scope of creating a homogenous positive learning climate within the class. When students require specialized, intensive or long-term counseling beyond what the school may reasonably be expected to provide, appropriate referrals are made.

Assessment of a student’s emotional and behavioural concerns
Providing counselling support to help a student address his/her challenges
Referring a student to other professionals, if required
Partnering with teachers and/or family members to assist with students’ concerns

Every year, many workshops like Cyber Safety & Security, Adolescent Education Program, Handling Examination Anxiety, Development of Work Skills, Life Skills Development, Peer Mentoring, learning of the Differently abled, and Career Counselling are conducted. The team aims to work toward building a conducive ecosystem for students to be happy and self-confident young boys and girls.

Aim of RPPS is to create an emotionally safe space, and an accepting, caring environment in the school by encouraging students to explore and discover ways of living happily and successfully.
